The Morning After 2

OHO! Development. And now I know a bunch of you fuckers are also curious. Hhhehehe.
I’ve been cruising some various albums compiled of cover songs, and this one really got me. Turned a shitty pop song into something fucking fantastic. Call it the soundtrack to this comic strip.
Thanks much for conveying the feeling and personality but still keeping it SFW.
To hide stuff like that with hair it would need to be at least bulletproof.
You might be surprised. This is especially true with artificial hair colors, which tend to be distracting enough that you miss things you’d otherwise see. Helps that in Alex’s case, the whole package is sufficiently distracting (in positive ways for some people and negative ways in others) that you could miss things. I also do suspect that she has a large amount of styling gel or something similar in that hair, since it pretty much doesn’t move; perhaps not bulletproof, but rigid.
All this is assuming that by “worst” she doesn’t mean “largest” but rather “most disfiguring”. Speaking of, do we actually know she has both eyes? I know that her right eye is covered in “Backstory 6”, although it does look like she uses it in “Adversity”; conversely, the latter could be specifically that she CAN’T use her formerly-dominant eye (but, can you shoot left-eyed and right-handed with a scoped rifle?).
Yes, i’m left eye dominant and right handed, i haven’t shot a lot, but i’ve shot simple rifles before, with scopes, and i had little to no problems shooting like that, the angle is a little weird though, and i find it more comfortable to shoot left handed
I really like the angle of Alex’s face in the third panel. Very well done!
I think most of us, while enjoying the two of them together, are just waiting for the shit sandwich you warned us was coming…
this. all of the foreshadowing made me think that she was a chick with a dick, but we’re obviously past that point. unless its a full conversion, which at that point… who cares?
I’m interested but slightly annoyed…
Oh, you…
I agree with the +1 to classy and tasteful while getting the message across. It also explains why her hair s always covering that side of her face. The third panel also shows a bit of vulnerability and that she actually is human. This comic just gets better and better.
Also, the tune: this is one of those times when the remake is better than the original.
Yes – WAY better…..
She reminds me of several female anti-heroes that have scars on their faces.
Heh, took me a minute to recognize the song, definitely more interesting that the original. Plus, I doubt it’s gonna be played into the ground.
I am waiting for the shoe to fall. I bet heidi put a camera in the bathroom. Or at least an low light one in the bedroom
In my head I’m hearing Gym Class Heroes or Supertramp. Ba ba ba dum.
How come “Blondie”s a brunette in the shower??
You’ve never gotten in the shower with a blonde, I take it…
I still laugh at the Berger/Boxer naming….. Who is going to win in the end? Time will tell….
Berdan/Boxer, my bad…
It took me a while to remember who the original artist was. She wasn’t ever much of a singer. Another song where the cover surpassed the original: Pseudoecho’s cover of “Funkytown” is fairly awesome, especially compared to the rather tepid original by Lipps Inc., with its primitive beeping synthesizer.
