How often does Failure To Fire update?
As of writing this into the FAQ, FTF has updated 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, since its inception. [Update, Sep 2013] This is still true.
What does FTF mean?
When a firearm fails to go bang, for whatever reason. This can mean a misfeed, a bad cartridge, a jammed action due to an unejected casing, and many other things. FTF means that the gun did not operate properly.
What is S.P.O.R.T.S.?
Slap (your magazine)
Pull (the charging handle)
Observe (the chamber for obstruction or malfunction)
Release (charging handle)
Tap (Forward assist)
This is how one clears a malfunctioning AR-15.
Are the creators of this comic affiliated with Cheaper Than Dirt?
Negative. Neither of us have ever been employed by, or been affiliated with, CTD, beyond the fact that we sometimes shop at their two locations in DFW.
Do you hate Ron Paul?
Not even a little. We just don’t follow his politics, for the most part. Love him or hate him, he’s a third party in America, and not really a major player in the political field.
Do you actually own firearms?
We own a small arsenal. All legally purchased, and we go shooting about once every 2-4 weeks. It’s an expensive hobby. If you’re looking into making firearms your hobby, we suggest you try heroin addiction first.
Is FTF autobiographical, like some of the Jay Series, or much of Two Lumps?
No. Absolutely none of FTF is based on a true story. J is nothing like Mick, and although there are aspects of both creators in the personalities of the characters, none of them are an analogue of our actual lives. This is entirely fiction. Yes. We’ve been telling you made-up lies.
Who did that sexy Failure To Fire logo?
The FTF logo was designed by Devin Philips, Texas state champion flautist, three time Emmy nominee for his work on the Discovery Channel’s Famous Spankers, and all around stand-up dude.
