So, our readership this week has kind of, uh, exploded. All over the damn place. Hello, new readers!
I also see some people are, uh… I dunno. Disappointed that this comic isn’t a strip about guns, starring characters who are guns that shoot at each other, and instead of bullets, they shoot even tinier guns. Or something. Maybe we should change the tagline from “where love and guns meet” to “It’s about more than just guns, you nincompoops”?

Well, I would say that racing a solid gold cart could be fun, but it’s a tad expensive, wouldn’t it? Or are you just talking about gold-plated?

There was a thread about your comic on /k/ yesterday or the day before, which I think accounts for your readership increase.
/k/ accounted for about 8% of the new hits. Reddit, and a slew of gun blogs linking off each other gave me the rest.
I got here from PAgunblog linking to Daysofourtrailers to here. I proceeded to read the entire thing and laughed my ass off to the mosin story arc cause I know people like that… Hell my dad can’t even pick up a mosin without literally saying “Is best rifle” in an Russian accent. Sadly I’m starting to do it too…
Quite frankly I’m impressed you’re updating daily, with a pause on the weekend to catch up on Menage a 3 and Oglaf 😉 I’m glad you two can keep up on the content and publish another comic. Even more interesting is how many of my gun nut friends are also cat lovers who dig Two Lumps.
Normally, I love this comic (even though I’m not fond of guns), but I have to admit reading the one for today (Dec 12) made me wince a bit, what with the shooting at the Portland OR mall the day before. I know you aren’t responsible for such irony, but nevertheless it was a bit off-putting. Other than that, however, Keep up the good work!
Oof. I’ll be honest: the strips for this comic are running on a three-four week buffer right now – I drew today’s comic about 22 days ago.
Not taking it down, of course, but I can assure you that there was no connection. Not sure I would have put it up if I was thinking about it.
It would have had to go up sooner or later, for continuity. And you’d still have gotten comments. Since I’m the most out-of-the-closet “gun guy” at work, I get questions any time there’s a shooting.
