Starting to get really tired of how many of my 2A friends are turning out to be Fudds. Oh, right, their guns are fine, but mine aren’t. Argh.
And this shit doesn’t help my mood.
Sorry about late updates of blog posts. Been busy as hell.
So Mick got an acceptable ID?
The Effing Birdbrained idiots have gone useless since J Edgar Hoover died. Gun control has been useless since before the Civil War. BATFE should be banned, and our heritage of universal armament shoud be restored. Yeah, I’m serious, gun control causes crime and the anti gun lobby is a pack of traitors.
Wow News flash.
Well, just in case any of the Fudds hadn’t heard. (It’s just amazing how the highest crime rates all coincide with the most restrictive local gun laws, idn’t it? /sarcasm)
Perhaps you are mistaking cause for effect. Cities with high crime rates often introduce gun control measures as an attempt to reduce the number of available firearms.
Honestly, I think that the only effective gun control measures would be a single national policy, with absolutely no local deviations, period.
Cities with high crime rates continue to have high crime rates AFTER the gun control laws are passed. This shit didn’t just happen last month – California has been eroding the gun rights of the citizen for almost 20 years, and they’re still #4 in the nation for firearms crimes. Meanwhile, when I moved here to DFW, Texas was #5 in the nation. In 1996, we passed the Right To Carry Law, and now we’re at #14 – and still dropping, vs. the national average.
Gun control only limits what law abiding citizens can have access to. Criminals do not care about the law. As Pterry of Pratchett noted: it’s in the job description.
Well bad news for the fudds, they’re coming for pump action shotguns and and possibly reclassifying shotguns as DDs. But remember they’re safe right… not.
For real. If I hear “nobody needs a Scary Black Rifle” again in anything other than a sarcastic tone, I just may… well, I don’t know what I’ll do, but it’ll be angry and caustic.
nobody needs one, i think Australia [where i live] has proved it.
want? yes that is a reason to have them. [SLR/FAL ftw]
Great. Nobody “needs” a 7-seat gas-sucking behemoth either, and they kill a hell of lot more people every year. Nobody, not you, not Da Prez, NOBODY has the right to tell anybody else what they “need”.
No, but they do have a right to tell you what you get to own. You may think you need to own a slave, but you sure as hell don’t get to.
And if owning a slave was a Constitutional right, this response might mean something.
I’m not saying you can’t have them, infact i would love one but it is really want not need in this equasion.
Talking about rifles not the slave part.
You don’t actually need your legs.
true, but instead of lusting over various ars and aks i have been looking closely at the Marlin 1894 in 44 magnum and if i can get my hical handgun permit a s&w m29 to be it’s friend.
and i’m just going to stop talking and enjoy this comic anyway.
I’ve come up with a new measure for quantities of firearms: a crapload. Defined as a quantity of firearms required to make an average Californian soil their pants in fear.
Usually amounts to a single tacticool AR15 / M14 EBR.
Really? From my experience as a fairly average Californian it takes at least three firearms to get most people to do more than edge away from you in a bar. Unless you’re talking about firearms carried near them, in which case you’re probably right.
Handguns or long arms?
Just as a bit of history, the Violence Policy Center, getting funding from the Joyce Foundation during the time that a certain President was on their board, called for the reclassification of most .30 cal rifles and all associated equipment as ‘intermediate sniper rifles’ and to be added as NFA firearms.
The stupid SB47 and SB 108 won’t help anything, least of all the crime rate. They’ll cost time and money to debate, even more money to implement, and won’t deter gun violence in the least.
They’re just going to force a vast number of previously perfectly law-abiding, quiet gun-owners to make like a bumper-sticker and choose whether the greater risk actually IS being tried by twelve of carried by six.
I swear the whole country’s gone to idiocy on this issue.
And my previously admired Sen Feinstein has disappointed me utterly.
Not disparaging you in any way, when I ask: What has Feinstein done, in her entire career, that you admired?
or. Not of. dammit.
