Originally, I was going to have Heidi be a schoolteacher, but the plot required something that sent her out of town from time to time.
Too bad…you could have gotten quite a few strips worth of “hot for teacher” jokes.
What’s rough is that Heidi’s “fancy apartment” probably goes for as much as my no-secure access 600 sqft place in Northern Virginia.
Inside the Beltway, there’s 1-bedroom condos going for more than I’m paying for my 3-floor townhouse in Fairfax.
Oh, I know.
I was actually planning on house-hunting this summer in Loudoun, but then the sequester happened(with the layoffs) and has made me gun-shy about making a purchase in the immediate future.
White leather sofas… pretty sure I’m not allowed either. Or white carpet…. or some nicer tile floors…
The solution? Abstract art.
Just the very existence of the phrase “master’s degree in taxation” illuminates one of the major directions where our society has gone wrong.
The color white and items such as furniture or rugs should never be combined. The best color for such items is the color of spilled coke or coffee.
Biden is at it again. Having the brilliant idea of taxing violent images and such.
Wait, the NRA said it was violent video games that caused the Sandy Hook and other shootings.
Probably because of articles like this…
Actually, if you read the article carefully, you will find that it is Franklin Graham who proposed taxing violent images. Not Biden, who likely isn’t smart enough.
FYI, Franklin Graham is the latest member of the Graham dynasty of american religious fascists, whom have been playing kingmaker, and providing “spiritual guidance” to presidential administrations for decades.
Ever wonder why there is still such an undercurrent of puritanism in America?
Ever wonder why so many in Washington DC keep trying to legislate their twisted idea of morality on us?
The answer to both of these questions is the Graham family and their connections with the shadowy so-called Christian group “The Family”. Both admittedly wish to create a theocracy in America. This is just another way to grab more power for themselves, and cement their hold on the White House administration.
Ah, my bad. He just said there was no legal reason why they could not.
Censorship through taxation? What a magnifficent idea. *Sigh*
That’s ok. I just have an OCD streak about making sure the details are correct as far as who we are criticising and for what.
Disgusting workaround for the First Amendment, isn’t it? That’s why the Second is supposed to guarantee all others.
Schoolteacher? Then she wouldn’t have been able to afford the nice apartment. Tax accountant is much better for the current plot. (Even though I’ll bet she would have been a kick-ass good teacher.)
Originally, her place wasn’t supposed to be this nice, either. Other than that, the plot essentially remains the same.
