Well, this is a problem. Tee hee. It gets more fun in upcoming days.
On a different note:
Yep. We have them now. Kilt, boots, mohawk, and spiked wristbands not included.
Was this comic ever linked anywhere? I follow Two Lumps but I don’t recall ever seeing a link there, I only learned of it’s existence little more than week ago (went to vacation right after) when certain wiseass posted the Mosin strip on a forum I frequent.
Hehe. Appears some people don’t read the newsbox – FTF has been linked there since last September.
The gun wire (@thegunwire) links FTF via twitter every day
The face of the cat in the background makes the picture.
Is there any look a utilikilt can’t make better?
To be fair: that’s a UT Kilt, not Utilikilt. Specifically a Black Deluxe. Had it for about 8 months now, it’s damned comfortable and looks good. I also own one of the 5.11 Tactical kilts, which is my go-to for outdoors wear – hiking, fishing, etc. Although I wouldn’t MIND having a Utilikilt, their price is just entirely too high for this kind of garment.
I have a Utilikilt and I bought it from Thinkgeek. They sell it for FAR less the price.
If you’re interested in seeing one up close (no, not like *that*) I live in the DFW area.
Oh, I’ve seen them. Quite a few of our friends have a Utilikilt or three. From what I see, there really isn’t much diff between the Utilikilt brand quality and the UT Kilt quality.
I did not know there was more than one useful kilt maker out there. Whatever it is, it makes the outfit.
Link for UT Kilt poor favour.
I picked up a few from 5.11 Tactical when they became available. That was a funny April 1 joke that went a direction they didn’t quite expect,
Who is that in pic? He’s one sexy motherfucker!
Looks are deceiving – he’s a total jackass.
I hear he draws some good webcomics, though. Just don’t mouth off in the comments section or you’ll regret it.
I’m mildly suspicious that her “roommate” took her bed.
Man… I have to say, I’m really glad at how this comic has turned out and the following it’s gathered. I remember when you guys announced it at AnimeFest I was really stoked. Awesome shirts, awesome comics, all around awesome sauce. Just thought I’d chime that in today.
on an unrelated note, you have a twilight zone pinball machine?
Mel’s pinball machine. She bought it with her tax return a year before we married.
Mel has good taste. The only pinball machine I ever liked better than that one was the Adams Family-based one.
Yeah, that’s theft of a firearm. Ramps things up a couple of levels in the eyes of the law.
i want that shirt so bad. also, oddly, want a kilt now. hmm.
DAMNED HAWT MAN IN A KILT!! *GLOMP!!* (note: all men are damned hawt in a kilt thus half of this is a redundant exclamation…you can choose which half!) XD XD XD XD
Gordon’s kilt is similar, and may in fact be an actual Utilikilt–I forget–in any case, I notice yours has nice hard pleats in it still, which gives the thing a nice drape–whereas the ones in Gordon’s have gotten kind of floppy.
How do you wash ours? Do you iron it?
Nope. Just regular old washer and dryer. The fabric of the UT Kilt is fairly thick and hearty.
Back up, back up, back up! The room mate took the bed? Is this as in Heidi was sleeping with the room mate? Or is this a Trainspotting kind of my room mate took everything of mine because she sold everything of hers for smack? I don’t think Mick should feel so bad about Alex sleeping on the couch.
Roommates can be evil. Back in college one of my fellow students came back from break to discover that his roommate had taken the entire single-wide mobile home that they were living in!
I don’t know how the story ended – weather or not the trailer or any of the stuff in it was ever recovered. He was just a guy in one of my classes, not actually a friend. But I have wondered occasionally over the years.
Roommates can steal some weird stuff. Strangest thing I’ve had stolen was the battery from my cordless phone. (Not the whole phone–just the battery.) I’d imagine there’s more to this situation than meets the eye, but this doesn’t automatically imply that they shared a bed, and I’d guess from the wording that they didn’t. Besides, if you were at odds with your roommate, would under the mattress of your shared bed be your choice of where you keep a gun?
I have one question for you, good sir – does Mel share? Because…yeah. Mama like.
Flirt! But thankye…
‘Flirt’ suggests I’m not dead fuckin’ serious. (No pun intended.)
When I met you at SD Comicon a few years back, I was wearing a shirt with ‘Kilt Inspector’ on it. How apropos.
Heh. You’d have to be more specific than that. XD
I figure you meet a lot of fans (especially at SDCC) and this was a few years back, so you probably wouldn’t remember me even if I got more specific – but you did like the shirt.
I’m 5’1″, 120lb, 36″-26″-40″, 4g lobes, rockabilly shoulder & back tats; I had a mohawk in a ponytail.
You can email me, if you like, and I’ll send you a picture (I’m assuming you can see my email address since you’re the admin and all). Up to you.
My ex-wife’s boyfriend-after-me stole several firearms from her when he bailed on her, and crazy bitch called cops to blame ME, claiming I must have done it more than 2 years earlier when we split, and she just never noticed.
if i could find one, id love to have a Pin-Bot pinball machine..or the combo arcade/pinball pac-man one..Nice Kilt BTW
My favorite was always Bride of Pin-Bot.
Ordered two shirts, one to wear and a spare!
Is that the Ebon Prototype Mark I in the background? I hear Breeden packs a mean blower for hunting down innocent? kilt wearers. You do look the part of a Goth Scottish Texan. I priced a family clan kilt once and the price drove me crazy but it is only a fifth of a Savile Row Tailors Suit, back in the day.
That’s Snooch Mk. II. Also known as Derpcat. Funny story:
The original two cats, Caramon and Raistlin, Russian blues, were vaguely like their comic counterparts. Sadly, both passed away within the last 3 years.
As replacements, Mel found two more Russian Blue kitten brothers at a shelter, and snatched ‘em. Holy fucking hell, they are WAY more like Eben and Snooch than the original two.
Sniffercat, AKA Tannin, is crafty, sneaky, and a little bit evil.
Derpcat, AKA Pallin, is the most retarded derp of a cat I’ve ever known. He really does act drunk 90% of the time. Total doofus. Snooch in the flesh. That’s who’s in the picture.
I love the Dragonlance names for the cats!
Very cool, the shirt goes well with the kilt. I was gonna guess it a UK also, I got mine a while back before the price increase (paid 150ish), but made (what I think is) a rookie mistake, getting it in black, thinking “It’ll go with everything”… not quite. Great for RenFaires, not so much everywhere else, especially in a Texas summer!
Totally missed the cat in the picture. Thanks for pointing it out.
Dude, you look awesome in the kilt. You really pull off some badassery with the accessories and all.
*sigh* This is what happens when you keep a gun in the bed. And anyone knows it.
