History, Part 1

Oho! The plot thickens!
And yeah, if you read back through the archives, this was another story arc I was planning since the inception. DETAILS MATTER, FUCKERS.

I love your work. I laugh, i cry. I’m shocked to silence sometimes.
Speaking to you as a fellow artist, please know that I do not hand out a comment of that magnitude lightly or frequently.
Any chance you could provide an archive date pertaining to the previous portion of this story arc?
It would be greatly appreciated!
Oh yeah, thicken the plot does…
It’s good to this come back around. Now, how about those “Like A Gauss” coffee mugs?
Better effigy burn than PDF’s was, that same weekend. Mostly because the PDF effigy was improvised, and the frame was a jungle gym made out of 2x4s. That had been soaking in the rain. And that had ZERO kindling applied, just some accelerants.
BTW, why am I NOT surprised that you’re a Burner?
You shouldn’t be. I’ve been a depraved heathen for many, many years. And a few stories have been noted about such.
Interestingly enough, I’ve noticed that people who go to Burns seem to have one of three reactions:
>>Muggles who go, and think, “WTF did I get into?! I am NOT coming back.”
>>Festies and Ravers and sometimes Muggles who go to Burns, and become Burners.
>>People of various stripes who go to Burns, and discover that they ARE Burners.
While buying a car Saturday, I got to talking about how Cobalt (my new-to-me silver-and-blue Element) would be great for Burns. Then explained Burning somewhat. He allowed as how he’d probably be Category I, but could understand why I consider myself a III.

I do fire perimeter most years. OMG this one was hot. Absolutely intense. Woot! I’m on the downwind side; I’m wearing PDUs with a blue camelback and my arms up (using my gloved hands to cover the back of my neck and ears) just right of the guy in the actual fire suit (Adam) and just to the left of the guy in the white Tyvek suit (Josh) at 8:31 & 8:35 moving people down the hill (time tagged at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=JKtO18ikzUE#t=511)
Absolutely great time 🙂
That looked completely badass.
I still don’t consider myself a “burner” yet. (If nothing else, I’m beginning to go from mild disdain to outright sneering at the “Ten Principles Of Burn Culture”.) I’m a punk rocker, hedonist, and party type, but I gotta admit… now that I know about regionals, I will probably be hitting more than just Mys.
