Alas, I have never hit 7 figures in my bank account. More’s the pity.
This is a case where the characters are continuing to do something I wouldn’t. Yeah, they both have a dream of having another gun shop. But if I had $8 million in liquid funds? Sayonara, I’m out of here, call me Señor Grant. Cozumel, here I come, and buying a big fucking Hacienda, where scantily clad señoritas will feed us fresh fish, cocaine, piña coladas, and Tequila until we die.
John McAfee had the right idea, is all I’m saying.
From what I hear, that really is the most efficient way to get rid of McAfee virus.
Ah, but are there guns and burns in Mexico?
There are plenty of guns in Mexico, as long as you have money for bribes.
Seven figures? Shit, I’ve never had five.
The $6.74 outstanding principal on the auto loan is really making me uncomfortable.
Glad I’m not the only one who had my world pushed about .7º askew by that…
How could Alex’s half of the settlement be almost $9M for a shop that cost them ~$1.5M? That would mean the insurance policy was worth $18M or 12x the cost of the shop. Even taking into account for lost revenue and personal property, that seems really high.
Am I missing something?
Also, did we ever find out what happened to the insurance policy that Omar still had active on the store?
Who says she sank all of her funds into the shop?
Yep, you are missing something. The over 6 million is in her savings. 2 million is in her checking and probably the money from the insurance.
If she has that much money in a bank savings account, she is not as fiscally savvy as we have been led to believe. FDIC insurance only covers $100,000 of it. And that’s the least of the foolishness.
If she has 6 out of 20 in savings, maybe it just means she hasn’t invested it all yet.
I could live with “cute cabana boy” status…
Where’s a McAffee video? The “how to remove McAffee anti-virus” is hilarious! (and on youtube)
Uh
“You can keep your Marxist ways, for it’s only just a phase….”
Honestly, I’d suggest one of several Latin or South American nations, instead of Mexico. Not only are the societies safer, they are far more welcoming of outsiders. I believe it was Ecuador where I was told that for something like a grand a month you could LITERALLY live like royalty, and that includes household staff, like a maid and a cook.
Just be careful with your finances, and don’t renounce your citizenship in the US, or else you will get epicly ass-raped by the tax man.
7 figures can disappear mighty fast, if you retire young. Although cocaine might help you die before the pile does. (Hmm…that might be an interesting graph…at what price point does the cocaine kill the user faster than it kills his bank account?)
On the other hand, running a gun shop keeps being cool right up until your ex blows it up. 🙂
McAfee’s method of software uninstallation has always been my choice of second resort (“If at first you don’t succeed, shoot the bitch.”). Rarely ever necessary but immediately satisfying when employed. With assistance, and assistants, like his I’d be in whatever number heaven is now (after inflation of course).
I prefer the Russian troubleshooting method (”If at first you don’t succeed, use bigger hammer).
That’s how I work on cars.
…I let other people do body work.
i wish my account looked like that, every time i check my account online i weep.
