Wow, totally forgot to make a post on this one.
As noted in a reply on yesterday’s post, I thought Kelly Bachand was the most interesting contestant on the first season of Top Shot. Young kid, kickin’ ass against older shooters. One of the only ones who exhibited REAL talent.
This is kind of where I came up with Alex’s backstory. Just for a starter, anyway. Her story goes way beyond being on a show. You’ll see.
Seems Wyoming is rattling their own sabers. Interesting. Right now, I’ll predict Texas does a similar thing, but ours will be poorly written and full of bullshit about seceding.

I imagine the reaction of men at a gun range to an attractive woman is probably far more civilized than that of guys on the internet. Less requests for naked pictures and whatnot. In part because she’s got a gun.
eh. no one ever asks for nudes, because real life isn’t the internet. however, back when i was skinny, i’d get lots of “hur hur you sure you can handle that? it’s a mite big for ya, isn’t it?” when shooting my 1911. and hell, i’ll still get stupid comments from older men at the range. i let my shooting do the talking. they usually shut up after that.
HEHE. Mkay, we took a friend to a shooting range last May, and she was… well, rather striking. Very pretty, damn nice body, and she wore tight jeans and a spandex shirt to the range that showed off her *cough* tracts of land.
How do guys at the range react? They shoot less, and watch every time such a gal steps up to the line, mostly for the previously mentioned recoil jiggle. And smile a lot. But they don’t approach or try to flirt, because this is a gun range, not a goddamn pickup bar.
Oh god, you just reminded me of the time I saw a RATHER endowed woman’s bra come undone while shooting skeet without an adequate recoil pad. Which is why I did that other strip months ago.
Heh. I tend to be ignored because I’m Over (-40, -size-16) right up until I outshoot them. Whereupon they scowl and mutter…and in the case of one ex, change out the sights on my gun. Underhanded sumbeech.
We’re more inclined to tell women with v-neck shirts (like in this comic) to cover up. Hot brass is attracted to v-necks.

Yeah, one of the reasons my wife dislikes .45 is, well, she was three lanes over from me when I was firing it through a 1911 and it was STILL throwing cleavage-seeking brass at her.
